Bill’s Story

Bill is a Palisade kid through and through. A 5th generation Coloradan, he graduated from Palisade High School while working in his family orchard, mowing lawns and being active in the Boy Scouts.

While a young man, his grandmother, Betty instilled in him the belief that true happiness comes from helping others and together they volunteered at the local nursing home, serving food to the poor and helping friends and neighbors. He brings this same attitude in his work. Helping people to achieve their goals and dreams is the true measure of success.

After High School he headed to Kansas where he went to Ottawa University and finished his degree at Mesa State College (Now CMU). After graduation he headed to the Colorado front range to begin a new career. There he also earned his M.B.A. from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) and entered the banking world. The world of finance was a perfect fit, but the market crash required that he seek success elsewhere. It was at this time he came home.

The return to the Grand junction area was to become the finance officer of a start-up oil and gas company. This is where the art of negotiation was learned. Money is definitely not the only leverage in a negotiation and if done right, both parties can benefit in the deal. Putting deals together, financing, and documentation were the core of his everyday work, and Bill will put his expertise into helping each and every client to both craft and execute their goals.

He is very excited to be a part of the Hummel team. He looks forward to working with you and making the experience as fun as possible. Call him today.
