Sylvia’s Story

First and foremost, I am a wife and mother of two beautiful children. My son Wayne is 17 and my daughter Josephine in 2. Yes, we meant to do that! I love to travel, garden, read, and cook. I am happiest on trips with my family or coming up with a new recipe for our evening dinner. I also completely love the outdoor lifestyle that Colorado has to offer. Hiking, biking and generally staying very active is very important to me.

I was raised in Denver and relocated to the Western Slope about 10 years ago with my previous position as a Dental Supply and Equipment Representative. It was the best move we could have made for our family and every time I make the long drive down to Denver, I think about how lucky we are to live where we do! I am excited to share my enthusiasm for this great area with all of my clients.

I have over twenty years of experience in all aspects of business from the lowest entry level job to maneuvering a 3 million dollar territory across the whole of the Western Slope. I am ready to bring my business and negotiating savvy to the table for you. I am excited to be working with Hummel and to be working with you!

Hummel is a wonderful, genuine, small town, locally owned business with the expertise of any big corporate real estate agency. A genuine family environment to help in the community and to serve our customers with integrity and pride.

My name: Sylvia M Brookshire

I am: A wife, loving mother of two and your new resource for Realestate on the Western Slope!

Proudest moment: Giving birth to my two children.

Biggest challenge: Making time for all the wonderful people in my life.

Inspiration: My Mother. She was a full time chemist and a loving mother of three. She always kept the house clean, made us dinner, and she has always been my number one fan. Also, my Father. He is one of the best business men I have every meet and he always made sure we never went without. He also taught me to take pride in my gender and never gave me a pass for being the only girl in the house.

First job: Joslin’s Juniors Community Models… It was awesome ! We got to model all the new clothes that came in. Work community events and we even got to have an end of the year Fashion Show at LakeSide Amusment Park. (I have just dated myself though. I am positive that both Lakeside and Joslins are out of business and have been for a while…) Oh yeah, we also got some of the clothes we modeled for free !!!!

Languages: English and Sarcasm. I can also order a beer fluently from any Mexican Restaurant in the Grand Valley.

Alarm clock: I am a Mom, no one lets me sleep…

Talent: I am a wonderful cook and grow a mighty vegetable garden.

Perfect day: An adventure! I love to go to new places and see and try new activities or new and different foods !

Hummel is: My new home and hopefully the pathway to your new home!
